So this year the way we will need to work the event is as follows –

The general format this year is as previous years,

  1. Bus will be supplied for anybody who wants to travel up for the day and return home that night after the meal.  Bus is free of charge – club will cover the cost.  The departure time of the bus will be advised closer to the day.
  2.  Meal will be in the same place (McSwiggans).   McSwiggans has always provided us with great service. It can be very dificult to get a resturant to take such a large booking in the middle of the summer so its important we honour the booking.
  3. We had a lot of pull outs last year which led to problems with the resturant who had reserved seating.   So this year we will limit the number to 60 places.     They will be given to the first 60 people that pay.

4: Cost per person for the night is 35 euros.    Just give the money to either Helena or Paudie at training and they will look after the rest from there. All you have to do is turn up.  Once paid then your place is booked.

6:  If after paying it turns our you can’t go you can swap your place with somebody else but it up to yourself to get the payment from the person you’re swapping with.  Just let Paudie know who is taking your place so the list can be updated.

5: The club webpage will be updated in the coming weeks to show the names registered for the bus and meal.

It’s always a great night out with lots of people staying in Galway.  (Get yourself a hotel soon)    The fact thats it’s the last one for a while should make it a want to do event.   It’s the main event we encourage people to bring their partners to.

The course and atmosphere is always brilliant.  For anybody who hasn’t done this race you can find out more info on the following link.
